Rainy day in Port Orchard

posted in: Washington 2

What a difference a day makes with the weather.  Woke up this morning to showers/rain and an expected high of 55.  I actually got up before the twins today but they graced our breakfast table this morning  and really wolfed down their Grammy’s banana nut cheerios.

Took the boys to their weekly gymnastic lessons.  The instructor had her hands full with the 5 kids but they all had a great time.  Karen gets really nervous when they start tumbling cause their necks are so vulnerable.

It’s 8:30 PM and it’s pouring rain outside.  There’s a reason why everything up here is so green and not golden yellow like the hills on California.  97 degrees back home today.  There’s a lot to be said for cooler weather but you better not mind rain and clouds if you’re going to live up here.  Rain or not it really is beautiful up here.

    Pete,
I’m so glad you and Karen are enjoying your retirement. So, where is the farthest you’ve been with the 5th wheel? Are you going to travel to the east coast sometime you think?

The longest trip to date was just over 2,000 miles last September when we came up to Port Orchard, WA. Haven’t gone East of Victorville, CA with our 5th wheel yet but we plan to. We’re hoping to spend a couple of months taking a trip to Alaska next year.
